Founding Artists

Josh & Kirsten teamed up in 2019 with a shared vision to construct inspirational, immersive art! Since then they’ve worked on a whole lot of collabs and met a whole lot of cool folks. They both love trees, absurdity, creative innovation, and fellow artsy types. And so… WonderStump! Art Collective was born!

In 2023 they partnered with Life on Earth Art, a healing arts nonprofit, to share workspace and create a permanent stumpin’ ground for art and magic to happen.

  • Kirsten is an artist and teacher who practices the very real magic of conjuring social and emotional connections through making. She loves developing new techniques and creating functional art objects. She is an advocate for issues of art education, mental health, neurodiversity, LGBTQ+ community, and creative entrepreneurship. She has worked in a wide array of media (goat hair! leather! lasers! mixed media!) and accepts commissions on a limited basis. Check out her biz website cabracreative.com to learn more.

Kirsten currently serves as the Head of Engagement and Programming at Life On Earth Art. Her work involves forming community partnerships and developing curricula for combined methodologies of healing, artmaking, and activism– to further the mission to unite, create, and heal through art. She is also a member and coordinator of the Arts Alive collective, working collaboratively to elevate the vibrant arts scene in downtown Petaluma, CA.

Kirsten was born and raised in Southcentral Alaska, spent 15 years teaching in public schools in San Antonio, Texas, and now lives in Sebastopol, California. She loves sunsets over the ocean, wild animal friends, and big trees!
